What is the best way to automate testing of a website which is developed in flash.

Hello All,

I was looking for a suggestion to use a tool for automation for a website which is developed purely on flash.
I tried with Selenium IDE to locate elements but since it is developed in flash I am unable to get element locator. How can I proceed with Selenium webdriver to test this website?
Or if there is any workaround?
Any tool may be.

Thanks in advance.

Sikuli Api is the best for this situation.
As sikuli API uses images to locate the elements so it doesn’t mater whether its a flash or html page.

Hello Avishek…….I have a solution for your problem, that is SIKULI. It is one of the best third party tool which can handle objects based on their images. It can simply integrate with selenium. Goto the below link and download it, and install. In the installed folder there you can found a jar “sikuli script”, just add that jar to your project’s build path.

Link is: https://launchpad.net/sikuli/sikulix/x1.0-rc3/+download/Sikuli-X-1.0rc3%20%28r905%29-win32.exe

Thank you…

Hello,

I hope you have already found a solution for your problem. If not, we recently had a similar problem with testing a flash website. We searched and searched the internet for a tool that could help us, and we ended up with Ranorex. We are really happy so far.
