Sendkeys to body within iframe WebDriver (EASY?)

Hi people, I’m new here and also new to Selenium WebDriver. I am using it to automate business tasks on eBay from Excel 2010 (VBA). I need to be able to sendkeys to the (HTML body tab) of the item description body when creating a new ebay listing…

Selenium IDE refuses to capture the xpath etc. of the body element and I’ve read it struggles with iframes…?  I was hoping someone could retrieve it for me as I have no idea what i’m doing with xpath’s etc…

Thanks in advance.

First check that the element on which you want to perform action is on which frame, after that switch to that frame(using selectFrame command in IDE) then go for the sendkeys command on that element.

Check whether your element is inside the frame (You can Right click nearest of your element , if it contains “This Frame” then you can identify your element is present inside the Frame).

Then you have to move to that frame by using the following code.
wd.switchTo().frame(“id of the frame”);

Then only your Xpath will work.
