‘IWebElement.GetAttribute’ makes browser odd.

Hello.
I’m new to Selenium.
So I follow the tutorial below.
http://toolsqa.com/selenium-webdriver/c-sharp/advance-explicit-webdriver-waits-in-c/

When I tried the DefaultWait example I found the clock (timer) of the browser  stop at ’38’
like this: “Seconds remaining: 38″
Console result of Visual Studio keeps print “Color is still white”.

I think
element.GetAttribute(“style”);
and

wait.PollingInterval = TimeSpan.FromMilliseconds(250);
these two line make browser odd.
When I incresed “wait.PollingInterval ” seems  the program works better.

I tried tutorial with Selenium 3.0.1 version and Firefox 50.0 version.

Is there anybody explain this status?
I’m sorry for poor English and thank you in advance.
