Does a lengthy xpath in the automation script cause slowness?

This question arises in the case of multiple xpath in a script/scripts.
There might be various reasons for the slowness of the automation script execution.
But I would like to know whether lengthy XPATH  adds to the slowness of the script execution.

    I don’t think so.
But you should use lengthy XPATH, because it can change often, and it is not supportable code.
