RE: Want to shift to Selenium

Hi I’ve been working as a manual tester  for the last 1 year and now I want to shift to automation(selenium) , I’m  good at Java and learning a lot  from this site l. But in the current company I’m not getting any chance do  automation due to politics and requirements.

So what should I do to switch to automation ?

P.S.: I know this is not  technical question but somewhat related to testing

Do not make yourself dependent on your company politics. Be an opportunist. Practice different websites for automation and develop frameworks to cater different needs. Or start automating your manual projects for your practice and present the results to your leadership.  I am sure you will soon find good opportunity or your way out.

All the best from ToolsQA Team.
